Actions > Alpine meadows management

The alpine meadows improvement is another action of The LIFE Nature Project, supported by The Park Administration and the local communities. This action is related with the enhancement of meadows trophic capacity and the rising of the number of sheep that can graze there, having as a result the elimination of forest grazing.

The electric fences are very efficient to protect the sheepfold against large carnivore attacks. These can be installed in different locations, decreasing the field destruction when the sheep stays in the same place over several nights.    [photo]
